The Heart and Horizon
Vision
To create a vibrant, inclusive, and interconnected Vancouver where all newcomers are empowered to thrive, contribute, and shape their communities. Through collaboration and community-driven settlement services, VNHSC envisions a city where individuals and families, regardless of their background, are welcomed, supported, and integrated into the social fabric of their neighbourhoods.
Mission
The Vancouver Neighbourhood House Settlement Consortium (VNHSC) is committed to fostering a community-based, holistic approach to settlement that supports newcomers in becoming engaged, active members of their communities. Through collaboration across Vancouver’s neighbourhood houses, we aim to provide accessible, culturally responsive, and empowering settlement services that enhance the quality of life for individuals and families while strengthening the social cohesion of Vancouver’s diverse
neighbourhoods.
